AF1 Auger Filler

AF1 fillers are well-suited for filling dry products, powders, granules, or seeds. The simple filler design allows for easy cleanup, maintenance, and rapid changeover. Each machine is based on a heavy-duty stainless steel frame with all contact parts made of food-grade materials.

This machine has an optional vacuum hood that collects dust generated by the filling process. The vacuum hood connects to a dust collector that sucks the dust out of the filling area and recoups the product for reuse.

The AF1 machines use high-tech brushless, direct-drive servomotors, and state-of-the-art motion control electronics for the auger control. A PLC-based touchscreen control system ensures the filler’s accuracy.

The AF1 Automatic Auger Fillers, available in semi-automatic and fully automatic configurations, are the best choice for accurate, repeatable filling.

So how exactly does this machine work?

Accutek auger fillers dispense accurately measured quantities of powder products. The mixer keeps the product from caking and maintains a consistent product density around the top of the auger as it rotates in the center of the supply hopper. The auger motor is driven by a servo that controls the auger rotation to the nearest two degrees. The rotation is specified by the number of fill pulses programmed on the touchscreen.

Is the touchscreen interface simple?

Yes, the touchscreen interface is simple and easy to navigate. And if there are any buttons/functions you’re confused about, the manual will instruct you how to use them.

How often should I clean and maintain the machine?

That will depend on your specific application in compliance with local and federal regulations for your industry. We recommend that any stainless-steel machinery be wiped down with a mild soap solution. To clean your conveyor, you’ll need to loosen and remove it. You can use a punch or a small screwdriver to remove the various pins to remove the individual links from the conveyor.

What should I do if I have problems with my machine?

If you have any issues with your machine, there’s a troubleshooting section in your manual that will go over how to solve various problems you may come across. If these solutions do not work or the problem is outside the scope of the troubleshooting section, feel free to give Accutek’s service department a call. We’ll be happy to help you find a solution to your issue.
