SACC-1

The Accutek Semi-Automatic Chuck Capper is designed for the cost-conscious consumer and for specific torque accuracies. The operator manually places the caps on the bottles as they pass, and the machine automatically tightens them.

The SACC-1 uses the same chucks and inserts as our other cappers to tighten caps accurately. An electronic clutch determines how much torque is applied to each cap. Our machines are designed to handle most bottle types, including P.E.T., P.V.C., plastic, and glass. The machine comes with adjustable electronic torque values to eliminate damage to caps and reduce insert wear.

You’ll need an operator to place caps on the bottles as they pass by on the conveyor. Once the caps are placed, the capping machine can secure them onto the bottles.

This machine includes an A.B.I. unit, a universal stand to mount onto your conveyor, one chuck, and one insert (up to a size 50).

How exactly does the SACC-1 work?

To operate the SACC-1, you place a cap on a container as it moves along the machine’s conveyor. The conveyor carries the container past the retracted indexer 2 and stops it at the extended indexer 1. The count sensor detects the container, causing indexer 1 to retract and indexer 2 to extend. The capper then clamps the container and tightens the cap to a specific torque. After a preset amount of time, the capping chuck rises and the bottle clamp opens, releasing the container with a tightened cap so it can proceed down the conveyor.

Is it difficult to use the touchscreen interface?

The touchscreen is user-friendly and straightforward to use, so you shouldn’t have any trouble operating it. While it may not be immediately obvious what each button or input/output indicator does, the manual clearly explains everything.

How often should I clean and maintain the machine?

We recommend cleaning the SACC-1 after every shift using a mild detergent, especially at points that come into contact with your containers. A more thorough cleaning should be performed at least once a week, along with oiling the shafts of all air cylinders. When necessary, various machine parts should also be replaced.

What should I do if I have a problem with my machine?

The machine’s manual includes a troubleshooting section that can help resolve common issues. If the suggested solutions don’t work or the problem is outside the scope of the manual, contact Accutek’s service department for assistance.
