ROPP Capper

This Roll Over Pilfer Proof capper threads and seals aluminum caps onto rigid containers. The capping heads can be adjusted for various container shapes, diameters, and heights. Designer beverages or champagne bottles are good examples of containers with rollover pilfer-proof closures.

Capping heads with low-tension springs can be fitted to seal PET/PVC/HDPE and glass bottles; they can be adjusted for any shape and size. Heads with two threading and two sealing rollers for different diameters and heights (standard semi-deep drawn, deep drawn, extra deep drawn) of caps are also compatible.

The sealing and threading pressure can be easily adjusted. Centering guides fitted in the heads ensure that the bottle is centered properly before capping to ensure precise and accurate capping.

Can the ROPP capper create an airtight seal?

Indeed it can. The ROPP capper creates an airtight seal between the cap and its container to prevent seepage and preserve the container’s contents. It also improves the oxygen barrier and allows you to check for evidence of tampering. This is a continuous-operation machine. Properly placing the container onto the platform with the cap correctly positioned is critical for accurate crimping and threading.

Does the ROPP have any speed adjustments?

There are no speed adjustments on the ROPP capper. The foot switch initiates the capping cycle.

Is the machine really low-maintenance?

Yes, the machine is designed to be low-maintenance. To keep it in top condition, we recommend:

Lubricating the platform elevator gears
Checking the belt tension
Replacing the drive belt when necessary
Replacing the center pulley to cap drive pulley as needed

You should also make any necessary adjustments to the drive and cam belt configuration. During routine maintenance, check adjustment bolts to ensure none have loosened. Avoid over-tensioning the drive belts, as this can shorten their lifespan and cause the machine to run poorly.

Is the machine safe?

Yes, the machine is safe to operate as long as personnel exercise proper caution. For additional safety guidance, consult the manual, which includes a standard section on procedures such as lockout/tagout.
