Select a location for your Steam Shrink Machine that is convenient to the steam generator and the other equipment in the production line. Allow space for operators’ stations and staging, for supplies and for peripheral equipment. You may choose to recycle the water that accumulates or run it down a drain. Plan out the plumbing in a protected area, because the hot pipes are a potential burn hazard to employees. The manual will talk about setting up your machine in further detail.

Set the conveyor guide rail height; this will assure maximum conveyor stabilization. A single-guide rail (T-Rail) is used for shorter containers, and a double-guide rail (D-Rail) is used for taller containers or those that require additional stabilization or support. Single-guide rails are usually adjusted at 45-65% of container height, and double-guide rails are set so the gap in between the two rails is at about 40-60% of the container height. Because of its stainless-steel construction and lack of moving parts, this machine requires only minimal maintenance. You are recommended to put a thin film of grease on the nozzle bank tubes. A small amount of oil on the hinges and latches of the optional side doors is required, if applicable. The machine should be cleaned at the end of each week.
