Desiccant is a dehumidifying agent that attracts any moisture in a container and locks it away from the product. Packets filled with desiccant are placed inside pharmaceutical and nutraceutical tablet and powder containers to keep capsules from sticking together and powders from clumping. The Desiccant Inserter dispenses packets filled with desiccant that are belt fed from a reel.

The Desiccant Inserter cuts a single packet from the end of the belt and drops it into a bottle. A bottle is held under the packet chute until the packet is dispensed. The bottle indexing system then releases the filled bottle and stops the next empty bottle under the packet chute. The inserter can drop up to 50 packets a minute into bottles.
